Lionsgate Films / TV is looking for an experienced music attorney to work in its music legal/music business affairs department. The successful candidate should have experience handling a wide range of music agreements in the motion picture and/or television industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for the negotiation, drafting, administration, and management to the conclusion of various music agreements and other documents for the creation and/or exploitation of original and/or licensed musical compositions and recordings for use in motion picture, television, and new media projects. Some, but not all, of the documents this position will handle are composer, producer, artist, songwriter, music supervisor, and publishing agreements, as well as synchronization and master use licenses. This person will work with and provide counsel and advice to applicable company executives on music issues. Experience working with a motion picture or television studio or a law firm handling motion picture or television music issues is preferred but not mandatory.
