Ensuring access to continuing legal education so every BESLA member can grow, lead, and serve without financial limitation.

BESLA provides financial assistance to “BESLA member attorneys” who wish to attend a BESLA CLE course but are unable to due to limited financial resources. “BESLA member attorneys” are individuals who (i) are licensed, active attorneys in at least one jurisdiction in the United States (or its territories); and (ii) have paid BESLA membership dues for the current calendar year. All requests for financial assistance should be received by the close of the CLE event General Registration.

Income under $50K

50% off the registration fees for a BESLA CLE course

Attorneys in Public Service

25% off the registration fees for a BESLA CLE course

Approval of financial assistance requests is subject to BESLA’s sole discretion. A BESLA member attorney may only receive financial assistance once every two years. Financial assistance does not cover any of the following: (i) early-bird or discounted registration rates; (ii) BESLA non-CLE events; (iii) travel, lodging, or ground transportation; (iv) BESLA Annual Conference Meal & Function tickets; and (v) BESLA Annual Conference Gala Only tickets.
