The Film & Television Division advances excellence in legal representation across motion pictures, television, streaming platforms, and emerging visual media. The Division focuses on the legal and business frameworks that shape the industry, including production agreements, talent negotiations, financing structures, guild matters, and distribution models. To accomplish its mission, the Division offers targeted CLE programs, expert-led panels, and industry roundtables, while developing strategic partnerships with studios and production entities. The Music Division supports attorneys representing artists, songwriters, producers, publishers, labels, and music technology companies. The Division addresses a broad range of substantive matters, including the negotiation and enforcement of player and coaching contracts; collective bargaining agreements; league and organizational governance; endorsement, licensing, and sponsorship arrangements; regulatory compliance; dispute resolution and arbitration; and name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights. It focuses on complex matters, including but not limited to contract disputes, intellectual property conflicts, employment and other high-stakes commercial disputes arising within these interconnected sectors. The Division provides a platform for examining litigation strategy, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms tailored to the unique structures and regulatory frameworks that shape these industries.
Recognizing the fast-moving and highly public nature of disputes in sports, entertainment, and adjacent fields, the Division also explores issues such as emergency injunctive relief, reputational risk management, league disciplinary proceedings, artist and athlete eligibility challenges, and media and content rights conflicts. Particular attention is given to matters that intersect with governing bodies, collective bargaining agreements, endorsement and sponsorship arrangements, production agreements, and evolving digital distribution platforms.
