Against all odds, self-taught writer, director, and filmmaker James M. Perry has carved out a remarkable niche in independent cinema, driven by his unwavering creative spirit. Originating from Baltimore, Maryland, Perry began his filmmaking journey in high school with his first music video, which gained local recognition. His distinctive artistic vision draws inspiration from legendary filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick, evident in his meticulous storytelling and visual craftsmanship. Perry’s notable works include Invisible War, which premiered at Times Square’s AMC Theatre in New York City in 2022, and the experimental film Feels Like Euphoria, which has amassed over five million views on YouTube and has been featured in several online film festivals. His bold, visionary approach continues to redefine the boundaries of independent film.
