MIMI HUNTER
MIMI HUNTER serves as Senior Counsel, Corporate Governance & Securities and Counsel of the Jordan Brand for NIKE, Inc. In this role, she oversees governance matters for the Company’s Audit & Finance Committee, as well as for all of the Company’s global subsidiaries. She manages the legal aspects of the Company’s SEC reporting requirements over which the Audit & Finance Committee has oversight. Her work includes managing the Company’s corporate finance transactions, including bond offerings, credit facilities and intercompany transactions.
She also supports the Company’s merger and acquisition activity. In her role as Counsel of the Jordan Brand, Mimi sits on the leadership team for the Brand and oversees the legal support provided to the Brand by the Company’s Sports, Catalyst and Brand Marketing, Intellectual Property, Licensing, Supply Chain and Marketplace teams. Prior to joining NIKE, Mimi practiced at law firms in Seattle and in New York, where she focused on structuring and negotiating a variety of transactions for public and private companies, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions, as well as formation and governance matters. In 2009, Mimi took a sabbatical from corporate law and worked full time at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund on death penalty appeals and other criminal justice reform efforts related to racial disparities in the criminal justice system. She has worked extensively on Pro Bono projects related to criminal justice reform throughout her career. Mimi is a Seattle native who grew up in Southeast Seattle and attended Rainier Beach High School and the University of Washington. She then graduated from Yale Law school. Mimi is a member of the Pacific Northwest Advisory Council for UNCF. She is an avid sports fan and roots for all of Seattle’s teams.
