Marjorie Williams is a senior media and sports executive across Skydance’s sports content portfolio, leading deal negotiations with athletes (including Josh Allen’s Out of Pocket Studios and Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Studios), major leagues and platforms, as well as co-financiers and co-production partners. She served as Head of Business & Legal Affairs for Skydance Sports prior to its merger with Paramount — building out the deal infrastructure, business affairs processes and operations framework that carried the division through one of the industry’s most closely watched transitions. Williams has expertly led dealmaking on numerous Sports Emmy nominated and award-winning projects including, “Rafa” (Rafa Nadal’s definitive documentary series), “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboy” (The Dallas Cowboys’ definitive documentary series), and “Saquon” (Saquon Barkley’s definitive documentary).
Williams is one of a select few industry deal makers who has negotiated deals from every vantage point, including being recruited to help launch a boutique entertainment law firm, where she represented A-list actors, showrunners, writers, directors, producers, production companies, and rights holders across film, television, and new media; working as a senior Business Affairs executive at both Amazon Studios and United Talent Agency, and holding roles on the Business & Legal Affairs teams at Endemol Shine North America (acquired by Banijay Americas) and Viacom (Comedy Central and BET Networks).
Williams is also a retired military officer, having attained the rank of Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. Her 22+ years of combined active duty and reserve service included tours out of embassies abroad and support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
A Los Angeles native, Williams holds a B.A. from Howard University, a J.D. from Loyola Law School, an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and certificates from Wharton (M&A and Corporate Development Strategies) and UCLA Extension (Producing and the Business of Entertainment).
